SATURDAY WORKSHOPS with HELEN DOWSE ~ 2027

6th FEBRUARY (2027): RACOON PORTRAIT (Acrylic ink on black paper.)
A different way of looking at painting. Working on black paper will give us an instant background and provide a good base to build the layered texture of the Racoon’s fur with white ink.
13th MARCH (2027): BUNNY RABBIT (Watercolour and Graphite Pencils.)
A sweet little rabbit is the subject of this workshop. We will enhance the subject with subtle washes of colour and then work with graphite pencils using layering and indenting techniques to create the texture and tone of the rabbit’s fur.
18th SEPTEMBER (2027): CRAB ON YUPO PAPER (Acrylic Inks.)
A wonderful chance to capture the vibrant colour of the orange crab against a turquoise background. Using Yupo paper, which is a synthetic, recyclable, shiny paper to create a wonderful loose effect.
9th OCTOBER (2027): A FROG ON A LILY PAD (Acrylic Inks.)
A charming little frog sat on a water soaked lily pad is the subject of this workshop. Painted in acrylic ink on watercolour paper. We will capture the shiny textured skin of the frog and yje shine of the water on the lily pad.
The cost of each workshop is £60 inclusive of all materials and is suitable for beginners and experienced artists alike.
Each workshop is held between 10.00AM and 4.00PM
